Mastery of porcelain at the service of true tradition
On the 5th day of the 5th month, during the Boy’s Festival (Tango no Sekku), dolls dressed in traditional armor are put on display in Japanese homes to wish for the healthy and happy growth of boys.
Symbolism
The Waka figurine symbolizes the virtues of courage and determination.
Singularity
While remaining loyal to the image of the Waka Musha, Lladró recreates it in porcelain with all the guarantees of its painstakingly elaborate process of creation.
This new "Waka Musha" by Lladró is much smaller than those previously in catalogue, but that does not affect the strength and elegance of the piece, now with a charming and more childish expression on the boy’s face.
